Day 179: Orlando: Warped Tour

July 2, 2016

14 year old me would be so proud of the day I had today. After the longest wait ever, I finally got to "spend the summer at the Warped Tour".

It was amazing. We saw tons of bands, including Tonight Alive, Sleeping with Sirens, Reel Big Fish, State Champs, Falling in Reverse, Sum 41, Mayday Parade, New Found Glory and The Story So Far.

We also got to watch and meet Set It Off (Emma was very happy) and We The Kings (I was very happy).

Tomorrow we are hoping to see some of the bands we had clashes with today, but it was amazing.

We managed to win some free things too, including sick matching hats. Great day.

Day 178: Orlando: A Day Off

July 1, 2016

Today we had a much needed day off after a huge week.

We slept in, went for a swim and played a round of Fantasia themed mini golf.

We then went for another swim, and are about to watch a movie.

Day 167: Disney World: Epcot

July 1, 2016

Today was our last day at Disney, so we went into the future and around the world at Epcot.

The park is separated into two parts, the future (or what the 1980s thought the future would be) and 10 country themed mini parks.

We spent the morning riding all the future rides, including one which was literally an aquarium.

Walking around the world was reallt hot, and we planned on eating in every country seeing as Emma is too young to drink around the world, but 3 countries in and we were full!

Each country also had a show, the beat was probably China's acrobats.

The final fireworks were amazing over a huge lake, and were a great way to finish off our week of Disney!!

Day 176: Disney World: Hollywood Studios

July 1, 2016

Today was full of lots of good rides. I was warned I might not need a full day at this park, but if you ride everything 4 times, it takes up a whole day!!

The highlights for rides were the Rock and Rollercoaster which went upside down at least twice, and the Tower of Terror, but the movie ride was a really cool insight into the history of movies, and the shooting game was fun.

The other great thing was all of the shows. After being disappointed by the Nemo show, we faced our fears and were pleasantly surprised by both the Beauty ad the Beast show and the stunt show! The March of the First Order was cool too, as a Star Wars fan.

We ended the day with Fantasmic, a water and fire show about Mickey's imagination, and a last ride.

Day 175: Disney World: Animal Kingdom

June 28, 2016

Today was another magical day at Disney. If anything, I may have even enjoyed today more!! I'm not sure if it was a better park, or if we just worked out how to Disney better.

The rides were amazing, with special mention to Expedition Everest and Dinosaur (and Kali River Rapids which we got soaked on, equally from the ride and the rain)

The park is more than just rides though, with zoo animals throughout. The safari was awesome with rhinos, giraffes, hippos and zebras, plus lions we didn't get to see.

The Lion King play was incredible with songs, acrobatics, costumes and dancers. The same can't be said of the Nemo one.

We even got to see Mickey and Minnie!!

Day 174: Disney World: Magic Kingdom

June 28, 2016

Today was magical. It was our first day at Disney World and it went great.

We booked fast pass times for the main rides, but were there early enough to be able to go on almost everything!!!

We didn't get to meet any characters yet because we were so busy, but I hear Mickey gets around to most of the parks, so we should be alright!!

The longest line we had was only about 30 minutes, and the mountains were the best rides.

The day parade and the fireworks were spectacular and I am definitely feeling the magic.

Day 173: Florida: Downtown and Disney

June 26, 2016

Today we wanted to check out the city of Orlando, but it turns out there isn't much to it!

We went for a nice walk around their lake, and had some awesome free samples at a market they had set up, which is perfect for a morning tea!

We had lunch at a Wahlburgers to get away from the sudden rain, and the burgers were pretty good!

Tonight we have checked into the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort, but sadly it is raining like anything, so we couldn't go for a swim yet, but we have planned out our days at the parks, and I am very excited!! (I'm sure Emma will be once she sees them!!)

Day 172: Florida: Gatorland

June 25, 2016

Today we went and saw some real 'gators! The park was heaps better than I was expecting, with heaps of different animals, shows, and of course, alligators!

The highlights were probably the shows, gator wrestling, jumping, and close encounters, but by far, the best part was a photo shoot with a real alligator and snake!!

Day 171: Florida: Jetlag

June 24, 2016

Today we took it pretty easy, because poor Emma is a bit jetlagged, just like I expected!

Last night had a couple of hiccoughs (like losing the crank for the top bed in the camper, oops) but we are all ready for the big tour now.

We went to the movies and saw Finding Dory (what an emotional rollercoaster that was!!) and just lounged around the pool all day.

Day 170: Florida: Emmas

June 23, 2016

Today I picked up a hitchhiker from the airport, my friend from Australia, another Emma!!

We are roadtripping up the east coast together, and even though she's jetlagged and I'm tired from worrying I would miss her flight, we are here safe!!!

Tomorrow, a relaxing day xx
