It's only June, and it was already over 100 degrees outside when I woke up from my sleep-in according to my car (about 38, for people who use the right mode of temperature measurement)
I was therefore not surprised when most of the hiking trails I planned on going on ended up being pipedreams, and I just wandered around downtown for a while instead.
The heritage area was a really interesting insight into the town, not because of the old house, but because of how ashamed people seem to be of the fact it's the only heritage building left, really. Most of the town looks like it was built in the 50s or later, despite it being about as old as Australia.
I also did some nature looking in the places I could drive to instead of hike, and the hole in the rock was particularly impressive.
Tomorrow, Tombstone, the town too tough to kill xx
